Inga is a genus of tropical, nitrogen-fixing trees and shrubs with pinnate leaves and white flowers. They are known for their edible fruit pods with sweet, white pulp and can reach up to 15 meters in height. These versatile trees are widely cultivated for shade, tolerate both waterlogging and drought, and perform well in poor soils.
