The Chilean wine palm is a striking and majestic palm with an immense dark-grey trunk that can grow very tall and wide, supporting a dense crown of green or blue-grey pinnate leaves. It is native to seasonally dry regions with a Mediterranean climate in central Chile and thrives in sunny, dry urban landscapes, making it a long-lived and magnificent ornamental tree.
