Report an issue with this species

This evergreen tree, native only to the California Channel Islands, features sinuous bark that peels with age to reveal smooth, cinnamon-colored new bark. It produces flat-topped clusters of white flowers in spring that linger for months. With low water needs and attraction to birds, it is a valuable choice for urban planting.
