Cotoneaster is a genus of flowering plants in the rose family, mostly shrubs but some small trees, native to the Palaearctic region. Many species are evergreen with attractive red fruits, dark green leaves, and adaptable to various conditions. They are known for their multi-stemmed, often spreading, growth habit and can be drought tolerant.
