Report an issue with this species

This partly deciduous tree is native to the North Island of New Zealand, growing in open areas, forest edges, and by streams. It is characterized by larger, widely spaced leaflets. While its strong wood has historical uses, it is toxic to humans and young trees are susceptible to browsing by mammals.
