Prunus × incam 'Okame' is a relatively small deciduous tree sought after for its colorful, delicate foliage and spectacular early-spring pink flowering. A hybrid of P. incisia and P. campanulata, it naturally forms a rounded canopy with smooth reddish-brown bark. Despite being highly drought and heat tolerant, its weak wood is susceptible to breakage.
