Ulmus sophora
Accolade elm
Report an issue with this species
Ulmus 'Morton Accolade' is a horticultural hybrid developed at the Morton Arboretum for its resistance to Dutch Elm Disease, Elm Yellows, and Elm Leaf Beetle. It provides welcoming shade with gracefully-arching branches, vibrant green foliage, and attractive yellow fall colors. While tolerant of drought, it is susceptible to wetwood and phloem necrosis, but is often planted along streets and in gardens as an alternative to American Elm.
